Bernese shoe

The Berner Schuh , also called Berner Fuss, was a measure of length in the canton of Bern in Switzerland . The measure was taken to measure the field. In addition to the Berner Schuh, the Steinbrecher Fuss still existed in the canton . The latter was used in quarries and in the stone trade. For field measurements, the foot was divided decimally into inches and lines , otherwise as a factory shoe, it was divided into two decimal places . The Bernese shoe was also known as the factory shoe.
