Bernhard Löschenkohl
Bernhard Löschenkohl (* 1911 in Blankenese ) was a German journalist , novelist and National Socialist .
Life
Bernhard Löschenkohl joined the NSDAP in August 1932 and was a supporter of the SA . After Löschenkohl had completed a traineeship at the Deutsche Allgemeine Zeitung , he went to work as a local editor for the National Socialist newspaper Hamburger Tageblatt , where he became head of the service in 1939 . After he had been a candidate for the General SS between 1937 and 1939 , he was accepted into the Waffen SS in October 1944 , which made him obligated to military service.
After the end of the Second World War , he was banned from journalistic activity until he was exonerated in 1949 and his professional ban was lifted. However, he was still no longer allowed to hold a leading position and so he became a novelist at Hörzu .
