Bernhard Rudiger

Bernhard Rüdiger (* 1964 in Rome ) is an Italian artist .

He studied at the Milan Art Academy and has lived in Paris since 1994 . He taught as a professor at the École Nationale des Beaux Arts in Lyon . In Milan he works at the Casa degli artisti founded by Luciano Fabro , Jole De Sanna and Hidetoschi Nagasawa in 1981 and took an active part in the debate on the new Italian art scene at the end of the 1980s. In collaboration with other artists, u. a. Liliana Moro , Adriano Tovato and Mario Airò, they work on experimental collective projects before they jointly founded the magazine Tiracorrendo and the artist space Lo Spazio di Via Lazzaro Palazzi, which was active on the Milanese scene between 1989 and 1993. In collaboration with Alfredo Pirri , the philosopher Pietro Montani and Jannis Kounellis , Rüdiger took part in the establishment of the Art Space Volume in Rome (1997/98). His works have been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions.
