Bernhard Schneider (judge)

Bernhard Schneider (born January 4, 1957 in Nuremberg ) is a German lawyer and a judge at the Federal Court of Justice since 2009 .

Life

Following his legal training, Schneider entered the higher judicial service of the Free State of Bavaria in 1986 . There he was appointed public prosecutor in 1989 as a lifelong civil servant at the Nuremberg-Fürth public prosecutor's office and then transferred to the Nuremberg-Fürth regional court as a judge . From here, Schneider was seconded to the Federal Court of Justice as a research assistant from 1992 to 1994 . This secondment was followed by a transfer to the Munich District Court for Schneider in 1996 , from where he became a judge at the Munich Higher Regional Courtwas promoted. From there he returned to the Munich District Court as a further supervisory judge in 2003, but was reassigned to the Munich Higher Regional Court in 2006.

On April 1, 2009 Schneider was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice and assigned to the VIII Civil Senate . This Senate deals primarily with sales and residential rental law. In addition, Schneider now holds the office of Investigative Judge I at the Federal Court of Justice.
