Bernhard Tacke

Bernhard Tacke (born April 11, 1907 in Bocholt ; † March 10, 1994 ) was a German trade unionist.

Career

After attending elementary school, Tacke completed an apprenticeship as a weaver and then worked as a textile worker. Until its dissolution in 1933 he was employed by the Central Association of Christian Textile Workers as a trade union secretary, after which he was unemployed for several years. After the end of the war he was a co-founder of the CDU and the unified trade union in North Rhine-Westphalia. From 1946 to 1949 he was a member of the Mönchengladbach city council.

In 1956 he was elected deputy chairman of the German Federation of Trade Unions . He was also a member of the federal board of the social committees of the Christian-Democratic workforce .

From 1959 to 1974 he was a member of the Advisory Board of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation .
