Bert Füssenich

Bert Füssenich (* 1973 in Bonn ) is a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Fiscal Court .

Live and act

Füssenich studied law and economics at the universities of Munich , Oxford and Bonn as a scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation. After completing his studies, he was awarded a Dr. rer. pole. PhD. After completing his subsequent legal clerkship with the second state examination, Füssenich joined the judicial service of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia in 2007 . There he was initially employed in the ordinary jurisdiction at the Bonn Regional Court . In 2009 he moved to the financial jurisdiction of the Düsseldorf Finance Court and was appointed judge at the Finance Court in 2010. From 2013 to 2016 he was seconded to the Federal Constitutional Court as a research assistant . After his return to Düsseldorf, in addition to his work as presidential judge, he was primarily concerned with general income tax law. For this purpose, he has also written various scientific articles in specialist journals and commentaries. From January 2018 he was seconded to the State Chancellery of North Rhine-Westphalia . In July 2018, Füssenich was elected judge at the Federal Fiscal Court. He was assigned to the Eighth Senate, which is primarily responsible for income from self-employment and capital assets, and took up his position on November 1, 2018.
