Bertrand Damaisin

Bertrand Éric Hugues Damaisin (born October 27, 1968 in Lyon ) is a former French judoka . He was a knight at the Olympic Games in 1992.

The 1.73 m tall Damaisin competed in the lightweight up to 71 kilograms until 1991, after which he fought in the light middleweight class up to 78 kilograms.

Damaisin was runner-up in the 1990 military world championships. At the European Championships in Paris in 1992, he defeated the Austrian Anton Summer in the battle for the bronze medal . In Barcelona at the 1992 Olympic Games, Damaisin was defeated by Belgian Johan Laats in the quarter-finals , and with three wins in the Hope Round , the Frenchman fought his way to the bronze medal. Three months after the Olympic Games, Damaisin won the European team championships with the French team. In 1993 and 1997 Bertrand Damaisin was French national champion.
