Professional association disc jockey
The professional association Discjockey eV (BVD eV) is a nationwide association of disc jockeys . It was founded in 1982 and has its federal office in Braunschweig. As a professional association, BVD eV represents not only commercial disc jockeys (as of April 14, 2013, there are 501 registered "DJ Sedcards" of members), artists , managers, music producers and other people working in the entertainment industry.
Purpose of the association and goals
In addition to further training and qualification in job-specific areas, the aim is to bring both members and non-members of the industry together in order to promote professional exchange and cooperation.
Furthermore, the BVD eV is committed to creating a professional profile or IHK certificate for DJs in order to do justice to the professional quality and performance of the disc jockey.
The professional association Discjockey eV also supports health issues in connection with "too loud" music. In 2004, BVD eV was significantly involved in the introduction of the DJ driving license , which currently around 2,500 DJs have. In the following years, the BVD eV, together with the Federal Association of German Discotheques and Dance Companies (BDT eV), various ministries and the Techniker Krankenkasse will train more DJs and help them to obtain their DJ license.
Regional work of the BVD eV
In addition to its federal office, BVD eV also has regional representatives (RRP) who hold regular meetings in their region. At the regional meetings, which are also open to non-members, current topics in the industry are discussed, artists or technology are presented and much more. RRPs are available for the areas Schleswig-Holstein North, Schleswig-Holstein Middle, Schleswig-Holstein South, Hamburg, Bremen, Lower Saxony Northeast, Lower Saxony Middle, Lower Saxony East, North Rhine-Westphalia, Saxony-Anhalt, Berlin / Brandenburg, Saxony, Rhineland- Palatinate, Hesse South, Bavaria South / East, Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg.
DJ magazine
The DJ-Magazin is the professional magazine for disc jockeys published by BVD eV . With a circulation of 8,000 copies, it not only informs members but also numerous industry insiders regularly about the latest in the fields of music, technology, trends and trade fairs.
