Best Destiny ( dt. Best fate) is the first compilation album of Japanese singer Miliyah Kato . The album was released in Japan on November 5, 2008 and debuted in its first week at number 1 with 92,423 units sold on the Oricon charts in Japan.

Details about the album

This compilation is a collection of samples that she has released throughout her career to date. For example, the song Koi Shiteru ( 恋 シ テ ル ) is based on the original song I Love Your Smile by Shanice and Dear Lonely Girl ( デ ィ ア ・ ロ ン リ ー ガ ー ル ) is based on Marvin Gayes Sexual Healing .

In addition to the regular CD version, a CD + DVD version has been released that comes with the music videos for some samples.

The compilation album was able to stay in the weekly Oricon charts for 30 weeks and sold a total of 222,401 times. With the top spot in the first week of sales, Miliyah secured her first number one spot on the Oricon charts and at the same time set the record for the youngest artist at the age of 19 with a compilation at the top of the Oricon charts. For more than 250,000 units shipped, the album was awarded platinum by the RIAJ .
