Maria Bestar

Maria Bestar (* 1981 in Madrid ) is a Spanish pop singer .

Life

A first demo was recorded in Miami while she was working as a clerk in a music store. Because of the demo, she was signed to Sony Music in 2000 .

In 2001 the debut album Maria Bestar , produced by Raúl Toledo and Lester Mendez , was released and released as the first single Pensando en ti . Airplay and sales successes achieved album and single mainly in Latin America . This was followed by a tour of Mexico , Chile and other Latin American countries.

After her return to Miami in 2002, recording began for the second album, which was released in 2004 under the title Sonambula . Brendan Buckley plays the drums on this album . Sonambula could not build on the success of the debut.

Her own musical compositions are influenced by Classic Rock and Nueva Trova .
