The ordinance on prescribing, dispensing and providing evidence of the whereabouts of narcotics ( Narcotics Prescription Ordinance - BtMVV ) in accordance with Section 1 (2) of the German Narcotics Act (BtMG) regulates the dispensing and circulation of the substances listed in Annex III of the BtMG, as well as their Maximum dispensing quantities. Strongly effective opioids , which are subject to the BtMVV, must be prescribed on special narcotic prescriptions. A distinction is made between special individual cases (code A), substitution (S), merchant ship (K) and emergency (N).

Right of amendment according to § 12 BtMVV

After § 12 para. 2 BtMVV must narcotics are usually delivered quickly, so must the pharmacist , after consultation with the doctor , almost everything on the narcotics prescription or amended. The exception is of course the signature of the doctor. In urgent cases, partial quantities may also be dispensed without consulting the BtM doctor, if a prompt consultation was not possible. The doctor must be informed of this change as soon as possible.
