A concrete bucket or crane bucket is a funnel-shaped container with which fresh concrete can be transported and distributed on a construction site. If a hose is attached to the bucket to reduce the height of fall, it is also referred to as a hose bucket .

Function and use

Due to the funnel shape, concrete buckets (for example from a truck mixer or a concrete mixing plant ) can be easily filled and dosed by the flap attached to the lower end and operated by handwheel or lever . The concrete buckets, which hold between 200 and 2000 liters, are usually moved within a construction site by crane , but also by helicopter on remote construction sites (see: Cable car accident on the Rettenbachferner ). If larger quantities of concrete have to be distributed, the use of a truck-mounted concrete pump is recommended .
