Concrete palisade
A concrete palisade is a building element used to frame raised beds or lowered paths . Concrete palisades are suitable for supporting smaller embankments or slopes, as long as there is no traffic load on the slope side, e.g. an entrance for cars and trucks .
Formats
There are three basic formats with a cross-section of approx. 10–20 cm and a height of approx. 30–250 cm:
- round (with chamfer )
- square
- rectangular
The formats are available in different colors, surface structures and edge shapes (bevelled, rounded, broken).
Installation
The palisades are installed both neatly in a row and vertically. About a quarter to a third of the palisade height is embedded in a concrete foundation made of lean concrete , which is about 10-15 cm thick under the palisade . As a base layer of at least 10-15 cm thick layer of compacted serves gravel , crushed stone or lava . For larger structures , a frost-free foundation (≥ 80 cm) must be ensured.
