The supervision law practice (BtPrax) is a German legal journal especially for supervision law there . It was originally the first journal for this area of ​​law and has the subtitle: "Journal for social work, expert advice and the application of law in care".

It has been published six times a year since 1992 with a print run of 4,450 copies, 4,288 of which are delivered to subscribers. Additional special issues are published irregularly, most recently in the summer of 2005 on the 2nd Amending Law on Supervision Law and in autumn 2006 with an overview of the addresses of all supervisory authorities and supervisory associations .

The publisher is the Bundesanzeiger-Verlag, Cologne, together with the Supervision Court Association. V . The editor is Dagmar Brosey.

As its subtitle shows, the BtPrax sees itself as an interdisciplinary specialist journal for all questions relating to childcare law, i.e. not only legal topics but also psychological and medical questions are included. Many of the booklets are dedicated to key topics, e.g. B. euthanasia, international care law or the death of the person in care.

In addition to treatises, the booklet also contains book reviews relating to supervision law, information from the Supervision Court , the Federal Association of Professional Supervisors , advanced training information and a detailed section of case law.

From 2005 to 2008, the Bundesanzeiger-Verlag published the magazine for professional care work (BtPlus) as an “offshoot” of the BtPrax, specifically for practical topics in care work.
