Bettina Brück (born November 6, 1967 in Hermeskeil ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in Hermeskeil in 1987, she completed an apprenticeship as a qualified administrative administrator in the senior service at the Deutsche Bundespost from 1987 to 1991 . After privatization, she worked for Deutsche Post AG from 1990 to 2007 , most recently in corporate purchasing. She is married and has two kids.

Bettina Brück has been a member of the SPD since 1992 and has been deputy chairwoman of the SPD district association Bernkastel-Wittlich since 2004 and became its chairwoman in 2010. In 1994 she became a member of the Bernkastel-Wittlich district council and a member of the Thalfang am Erbeskopf municipal council . Between 1996 and 2011 she was chairwoman of the SPD parliamentary group in this association council. In 1999 she became deputy chairwoman of the SPD district parliamentary group, and in 2011 its chairwoman. From 2004 to 2007 she was and from 2009 is also a council member of the Thalfang local council .

After the state election in 2006 , she became a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament on May 18, 2006 . It moved into parliament via the state list (44th place). She sat for her party in the study commissions climate change and responsibility in the media world and in the Committee of education and youth . She was also a member of the Petitions Committee , the Prison Commission and the Commission for the State Commissioner for Data Protection . She currently sits for her party in the committees for education and for science, further education and culture. She is education policy spokeswoman for the SPD parliamentary group. In 1999 she was a member of the 11th Federal Assembly .
