Bettina Klein

Bettina Klein (* 1966 in East Berlin ) is a German radio editor and presenter. From 2004 she was with Deutschlandfunk in Cologne, and since March 2017 EU correspondent in Brussels .

Life

In the GDR she was a volunteer at a newspaper and studied journalism in Leipzig. After a successful application to leave the country , she was again a trainee at RIAS in Berlin and studied history, politics and religious studies in Hanover and Berlin, where she became editor and presenter for Deutschlandfunk, then Deutschlandradio, and Zeitfunk, in between a correspondent's representation in Washington and a year of research in the USA. Marco Bertolaso , who later came to the DLF, calls Bettina Klein a defining voice on Deutschlandfunk.

She is the author and co-author of five programs in the daily magazine “ Background” from Deutschlandfunk and other radio programs .
