Bettina Prendergast

Bettina Prendergast (born September 8, 1975 in Hohenems , born Bettina Madlener ) is an Austrian journalist. From 2005 to 2017 she was the ORF London correspondent .

After graduating from high school in 1995, Bettina Madlener began her professional career in the youth department of Vorarlberger Nachrichten . In 1997 she moved to the ORF regional studio in Vorarlberg as a freelancer and in 2001 to the regional studio in Vienna. She worked for the Liechtenstein broadcasting company from 2003. In 2005 Bettina Madlener moved to London, from where she reported as a correspondent for the news program Zeit im Bild and the ORF radio. She is married to Patrick Prendergast and has a son and a daughter.

On August 1, 2017, Cornelia Primosch succeeded her as ORF foreign correspondent in London; Prendergast returned to Austria at his own request. She is currently at ORF-Vorarlberg, where she is responsible for politics and business as a journalist.
