Betts Island is an island up to 63 m high in Prydz Bay on the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . It is located in front of the northern part of the Larsemann Hills .
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it in 1988 after Martin Stephen Betts, who led a team on the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions to explore the Larsemann Hills between 1987 and 1988.
