Betty Astor

Betty Astor , actually Berta Baesel , (born April 21, 1905 , † 1972 in Berlin ) was a German film actress . At the beginning of her career she called herself Berti Byllardo .

Life

Betty Astor made her film debut in 1925 under the pseudonym "Berti Byllardo" in the film Halbseide directed by Richard Oswald . In her next film Front House and Back House , which Oswald also directed, she had already adopted the stage name "Betty Astor". Initially mainly used as a supporting actress , from 1928 she also took on leading roles several times . After more than 20 silent films and only a few sound films , the petite blonde withdrew from the film business in 1933. She was last seen on screen in the short film The Face of the Road .
