Beyond Westworld is an American television series from 1980, which was based on the two feature films Westworld and Futureworld - The Land of Tomorrow . The story revolves around the character John Moore as security chief of the Delos Corporation, the company that was also the setting in the two feature films. Moore tries to stop the mad scientist Quaid. He wants to usurp world power by replacing important politicians with robots from the Delos Corporation.
Unlike the feature films, the series was a flop and only five episodes were produced, not all of which were broadcast in the United States until the series was canceled. The series was not broadcast in Germany. One episode of the series is available as an extra on the Westworld Blu-ray Disc , which was released on the German market in 2013.
