Reference frequency

Reference frequency ( english reference frequency ) is - in accordance with Article 1150 of the ITU Radio Regulations (Radio Regulations) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) - defined as " radio frequency that a strong and well-defined position with respect to the assigned frequency has. The offset of this frequency in relation to the allocated frequency has the same absolute value and the same sign as the offset of the characteristic frequency in relation to the center of the frequency band occupied by the (radio) transmission. "

This is also a special term in frequency management that is usually used in connection with the allocation of a radio frequency or a frequency channel.
