from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Empress Biàn ( Chinese  卞 皇后 , Pinyin Biàn Buánghòu , birth name unknown) was a Chinese empress of the Wei Dynasty at the time of the Three Kingdoms . Her husband was Cao Huan (Emperor Yuan), the last emperor of the Wei Dynasty. She was a granddaughter of Bian Bing, Cao Cao's brother -in-law and brother of the empress mother Bian .

Cao Huan married Bian in 263 when he was 17 years old. Bian's age is unknown. There is no record of her further activity as her husband was under the firm control of Sima Zhao . There is also no record of her life after Cao Huan's abdication in favor of Sima Yan . Since her husband was named Prince of Chenliu , she was believed to be Princess of Chenliu . After her title, she received a posthumous imperial title, the sound of which has not been preserved.
