Bianchini is an impact crater on the northwestern front of the moon , west of the Montes Jura , on the northern edge of the Sinus Iridum . The crater is hardly eroded and has a central mountain .

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Italian astronomer Francesco Bianchini .
