Biblioteca Nacional de Aeronáutica
The Biblioteca Nacional de Aeronáutica (BINAE) in Buenos Aires , Argentina is an Argentine national library . It was founded on September 5, 1927 as a center for collecting bibliographical material on aviation history. The Biblioteca Nacional de Aeronáutica is open to the general public and is used to provide professional advice to students, aviation companies and government agencies on issues relating to aerospace.
It is located in the center of Buenos Aires in the immediate vicinity of Plaza San Martin and houses more than 60,000 books, volumes, drawings and writings with reading rooms, conference rooms and an important collection of national and international journals and videos on the subject of aerospace.
Biblioteca Nacional de Aeronáutica is equipped with a database system for the electronic processing of its collections and offers an advisory service via the Internet and by e-mail. Their work goes beyond the borders of the country and is connected to various international research centers.
In 2003, the “AEROSPACE HISTORY COLLECTION” was significantly expanded together with the Department Estudios Históricos de la Fuerza Aérea Argentina (Military Aviation History Argentina).
