Bibliotheca de classicos portuguezes

The Bibliotheca de classicos portuguezes ( Library of Portuguese Classics ) is a series of Portuguese books published by Escriptorio ( Rua dos Retrozeiros 147) in Lisbon since 1890 . It was edited by Mello d'Azevedo , the literary director was Sousa Viterbo . As its name suggests, the library contains classic works from Portuguese history . Many of the Portuguese royal chronicles ( Chronica de el-Rei ... ; see also Cronista-mor ), including several by Rui de Pina , for example, have appeared in it, as well as various works from the Portuguese history of discovery and colonialism .
