Biederstein publishing house

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Biederstein Verlag received a publishing license in Munich after the end of the Second World War .

history

In the first few years, the publishing house acted as substitute for the CH Beck publishing house . The first volumes of the Neue Juristische Wochenschrift appeared until October 1949 under the logo of this publisher, which is named after a district of the Munich district of Schwabing . Under the direction of Gustav End , a cousin of the then publisher Heinrich Beck, the Biederstein Verlag was then mainly active in the field of fiction and aesthetics from 1949 . Mention should be made, for example, of the complete edition of Heimito von Doderer's works , which Biederstein published until the 1990s.

At this point in time, the active activities of the Biederstein Verlag ceased; the works previously published there have since appeared in CH Beck's aesthetic program, insofar as subsequent editions exist .
