Big Rude Jake

Big Rude Jake (born March 1, 1963 ), real name Andrew Jacob Hiebert , is a Canadian musician . The band Big Rude Jake , founded by him and named after him, is assigned to the so-called “New Swing” and combines traditional old-time jazz with punk rock. The influences on the textual side include a. Raymond Chandler , Bertolt Brecht and Joe Strummer .

After moving from Toronto to New York , he got a recording contract with Roadrunner Records , which in 1999 also released the album, also called "Big Rude Jake", in Germany.
