Big Savod And The Deep Manko is a German band that was formed in Meißen in 1985 .

Founding members were Andreas Maier, Vinko Hake and Reinhardt Grahl. The members were amateurs. The band's first names were Plutonius Dachstein and Billy Shears and the One and Onlies . In January 1988 they were given an intermediate level by the competent authority in the GDR .

At the beginning of 1989, the three founding members were already living in Berlin , Norbert Knaack from Torpedo Mahlsdorf joined the band, and Jörn Rhode from Michele Baresi also joined the band. After internal disputes, Alex Istschenko and Torsten Ratheischak joined the band from Herbst in Beijing .

In the GDR, the band was one of the alternative groups known as the other bands . The band's music belongs to the New Wave genre .
