Bijele and Samarske stijene

The Bijele and Samarske stijene nature reserve covers an area of 117.5 km² and is located in Croatia . It is located west of Ogulin and southeast of Mrkopalj , about in the middle of the Velika Kapela mountain range.
Since 1985 , the area, which is relatively difficult to access for hikers and located between 1335 m and 1294 m above sea level, has been a nature reserve under strict nature protection .
The nature reserve is known for its approximately 50 m high, snow-white karst rocks .
