Bikey

A stable and vandal-proof bike was specially developed on behalf of the VRR / bikey. Thanks to its aluminum unisex frame with low step-through and seven-speed gearshift, it is equally suitable for men and women and is easy to ride for all age groups. Drum brakes, an automatic light switch and a lockable luggage box are also part of the equipment. A transponder unit allows the respective vehicle to be identified via the bicycle box. This means that the return can also take place automatically.

There are currently red bicycle boxes at the VRR stations in: Grevenbroich (since 12/2005); Bottrop-Feldhausen (since 12/2005); Bottrop main station (since 05/2006); Annen (since 05/2006); as well as a number of stations in Essen (since 2008).
