The wayside shrine in Winterrieden , in the Unterallgäu district , Bavaria , was built in the 18th century and is located north of the village. The heritage-protected wayside shrine is designed as a transverse rectangular housing with a gable roof . The barrel-vaulted interior is opened to the south by an arched arcade . In a small arched niche there is a wooden figure of Mother Anna with Maria .
