The educational work was an Austrian social democratic magazine that appeared eight to ten times a year between 1909 and 1934. She led the sub-title sheets for socialist education .

The aim of the magazine was to promote workers' education. It was published by the Central Office for Education (also: Socialist Education Center or Workers 'Education Center), which was affiliated with the party secretariat of the Social Democratic Workers' Party . With the magazine, the central office wanted above all to stimulate educational work in the federal states. The first editor was the then secretary of the central office, Robert Danneberg . He was followed by Josef Luitpold Stern (1920 to 1922 and 1932 to 1934) and Leopold Thaller (1922 to 1932).
