Bill Kurtis (born September 21, 1940 in Pensacola , Florida ) is an American journalist , author and television presenter .
Life
Kurtis studied at the University of Kansas and Washburn University School of Law . As an author he wrote several books. Kurtis worked for the US television station CBS for over 30 years . Among other things, he worked with Diane Sawyer on the news program CBS Morning News as a television presenter. Kurtis was married to Helen Kurtis from 1963 to 1977 and has two children. He lives in Mettawa , Illinois .
