Bill Smart

Bill Smart (actually William James Smart; born June 5, 1948 in Vancouver ) is a former Canadian middle-distance runner .

At the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh in 1970 he won bronze over 800 m and was eleventh over 1500 m . In 1971 he won silver over 1500 m at the Pan American Games in Cali and was sixth over 800 m.

At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, he was eliminated over 1500 m in the preliminary run.

In 1972 he was Canadian champion over 800 m and 1500 m.
