Bill van Auken

Bill van Auken (* 1950 ) is an American politician and a leading member of the Trotskyist Socialist Equality Party (SEP). He was his party's candidate in the 2004 US presidential election and received 1,857 votes (= 0.0015%). In the 2006 Senate election , he ran for the Senate seat for New York as an opponent of Hillary Clinton and received 6,004 votes (= 0.13%).

Van Auken works as a journalist for the World Socialist Web Site operated by the SEP .
