The Bills Gulch ( English for Bill's Gorge ) is a glacier on the Bowman coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is the northern of two glaciers that flow from the central highland plateau in an easterly direction to the head end of Trail Inlet .
In 1940, the glacier served as a route from East Base on Stonington Island to Hilton Inlet for the sled team under the direction of the US geologist Paul Knowles (1909-1978) on the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939-1941). The scientists involved named him after a lead dog who died here while on a sleigh ride.
