The Binn Peak is a 400 m high mountain on the Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It towers over the Miers Bluff at the southwest end of the Hurd Peninsula .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him 1990 incorrectly after Thomas Bunn (1794-1882), captain of the sealer Minerva from London , who had operated between 1820 and 1821 in the waters around the South Shetland Islands.
