The Birdseye Highway is a trunk road in the south of the Australian state of South Australia . It connects the Lincoln Highway in Cowell with the Flinders Highway in Elliston across the middle of the Eyre Peninsula .

The Birdseye Highway branches off in Cowell on the east coast of the Eyre Peninsula from the Lincoln Highway (B100) to the west and leads mainly through agricultural areas to Cleve . The next town on the route is Lock in the middle of the peninsula where the Tod Highway (B90) crosses. The Birdseye Highway continues to the west and finally meets the Flinders Highway (B100) on the west coast of the peninsula in Elliston .

Road conditions

The Birdseye Highway is paved from Cowell to Lock and has two lanes. In the 90 km stretch from Lock to Elliston, a 50 km stretch is unpaved.
