Birgit Kanngießer

Birgit Kanngießer (* around 1965) is a German physicist and university professor .

Career

Birgit Kanngießer studied physics, astronomy and philosophy at the University of Bonn and received her doctorate in physics from the University of Bremen in 1995 . In 2004 she completed her habilitation at the TU Berlin, where she dealt with three-dimensional X - ray fluorescence analysis using synchrotron radiation (3D micro-XRF method). She has headed the Analytical X-ray Spectroscopy working group there since 2004 and has been the endowed professorship for Analytical X-ray Physics since 2009.
