Birutė Teodora Visokavičienė

Birutė Teodora Poderytė-Visokavičienė (born January 7, 1946 in Grinkiškis , Kėdainiai Rajongemeinde ) is a Lithuanian politician.

Life

She was evicted to ASSR Komi with her parents . After graduating from high school in Kaunas in 1963 , she graduated from Kauno politechnikos institutas (KPI) in 1970 . From 1970 to 1972 she was an economist and head of the production planning office at Kauno elektrotechnikos gamykla . From 1972 to 1983 she taught at KPI, from 1983 to 1986 as a lecturer. In 1979 she received her doctorate in economics . From 1986 to 1996 she taught at the Vilniaus universitetas . From 1996 to 2000 she was a member of the Seimas . In 2003 she worked at the Lithuanian Language School at the Lithuanian Embassy in Kazakhstan .

From 1990 she was a member of Lietuvos socialdemokratų partija , 1995 of Tėvynės sąjunga , from 2000 of Nuosaikiųjų konservatorių sąjunga .

Her husband is Romualdas Visokavičius . They have a daughter, Gintarė, and a son, Regimanta.
