The diocese Daman ( Latin Dioecesis Damanensis , Portuguese Diocese de Damão ) was one in Portuguese India situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Daman .
history
The diocese Daman was on September 1, 1886 by Pope Leo XIII. Erected with the bull Humanae salutis from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Goa and subordinated to this as a suffragan .
On May 1, 1928, the Diocese of Daman by Pope Pius XI. with the Bull Inter apostolicam again affiliated to the Archdiocese of Goa.
