Diocese of Vaison
The Diocese of Vaison ( Latin Dioecesis Vasionensis ) is a former diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in France . The bishopric was in the city of Vaison-la-Romaine . It existed since the 4th century and belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Avignon since 1475 . With the Concordat of 1801 , the Diocese of Vaison was dissolved and divided between the Archdiocese of Avignon and the Diocese of Valence .
