history

BitTornado based on the original client of Bram Cohen . Building on this, he added new functions: bandwidth limitation, prioritization of individual files for multiple files within a torrent, automatic opening (and closing) of ( router ) ports ( NAT traversal) via universal plug and play , support for IPv6 (provided the operating system supports it this).

The BitTorrent client ABC is a BitTornado descendant on which some other clients are based, which are still being actively developed (Tribler, Torrent Swapper).
