Björn Baum (born April 17, 1982 ) is a German table tennis player .

Career

As the son of the former second division player Arthur Baum, Björn began playing table tennis at the age of six. He first joined the TSV Flörsheim-Dalsheim club and in 1991 the TTV Nierstein. In 1994 he moved to TTC Lampertheim with whom he played in the regional league. In 1995/96 he won all games here. From 1996 he strengthened the TTC relay in the Second Bundesliga . After an interlude in 1998/99 at the TTC Rhön-Sprudel Fulda-Maberzell , he came to TTC Elz (2000/01).

After further stations u. a. Via 1. FSV Mainz 05 (from 2001) and TV Leiselheim he played from 2005 to 2007 for TV Seckenheim in the 2. Bundesliga. After a trip to the regional league at TTC Weinheim , he moved to ASV Grünwettersbach (2nd BL) in 2009 . A year later he returned to TTC Weinheim.

His younger brother Patrick Baum is also a successful table tennis player.
