Björn Hering (born July 15, 1978 in Bern, sometimes called Bjorn Hering or Bjoern Hering ) is a Swiss television presenter and entrepreneur.

Life

Hering grew up in Schliern near Bern. After training as a primary school teacher, he studied business administration at the University of Bern . He produced and hosted the youth program ZapZone . In 2000 he founded “FaroTV” with Mathias Ruch and two other partners. He sold his shares to Condor Films in 2006 . Together with Ruch he was responsible for the television program Joya rennt , which was awarded the Rose d'Or for the best interactive television format. In 2006 he was voted one of the 100 most important Swiss people by Schweizer Illustrierte .

Hering also works for the dekeyser and friends foundation in Hamburg. He conceived the television program "Homerun", which he produces and also moderates with his company. On October 12, 2011, the program was broadcast for the first time on Sat1 Switzerland. In 2012 he received the Swiss TV award in the “best innovation” category for the show. In 2013 he was a jury member of the EBU for the award of the Rose d'Or. Since 2012, together with Max Loong , he has also owned the TV production company media dragon , based in Singapore. With “No Agenda” he is launching a travel format that premiered on NBC Universal Diva on October 29, 2017 and reached around 60 million viewers across Asia. Since 2016 he has been a member of the Fideliofilms circle of producers.

He is the father of two children and lives with his wife Linda in Asia and Switzerland.
