Schliern is a village in the Swiss municipality of Köniz and has 4379 inhabitants.

geography

The village is located southwest of Bern and above Köniz at 650  m above sea level. M. Schliern is connected to the Bern city center and the other suburbs of Bern through the public transport company of the city of Bern ( Bernmobil ). Despite its proximity to Bern (6 km), Schliern does not have a high volume of traffic.

economy

Schliern is home to clubs and smaller companies. There are also two restaurants, a shop, a hairdresser, doctors, a butcher's and a bakery in the village.

As part of the settlement expansion in Schliern, a center development with its own post office, various shops and a village square was planned in the 1980s. In 1982 the post office was opened in the Schliern shopping center.
