Bjorn Kerbein

Björn Kerbein (born October 1, 1973 in Cuxhaven ) is a German politician of the FDP .

education and profession

After graduating from high school in 1993, Björn Kerbein studied law at Bielefeld University from October 1994 to June 2000 . He passed the 1st state examination in 2000, in 2003 he received his doctorate. jur.

In 2002 Kerbein set up his own tennis school, which he is the owner and manager. He is married and has two children.

politics

Kerbein has been a member of the FDP since 2008. He is a co-opted member of the board of the FDP district association Bielefeld. From 2008 to May 2015 he acted as parliamentary group leader of the FDP in the city council of Bielefeld .

Björn Kerbein became a member of the 16th state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia on February 6, 2015 , to which he replaced Robert Orth . Björn Kerbein was sports policy spokesman for the FDP parliamentary group as well as the parliamentary group's spokesman in the study commission on the future of family policy in North Rhine-Westphalia. In addition, he was a full member of the Committee on Family, Children and Youth and a deputy member of the Legal Committee. At the end of the legislative period, he left the state parliament in 2017, because although he received 9.3% of the first votes in the Gütersloh I - Bielefeld III state electoral district , he was not secured on the FDP state list.
