Blaženka Divjak (2017)

Blaženka Divjak (born January 1, 1967 in Varaždin ) is a Croatian politician, scientist and professor of natural sciences. She is currently the Minister for Science and Education in Andrej Plenković's cabinet . Divjak is non-party.

education

In 1985, she graduated from high school in natural mathematics in her hometown Varaždin. In 1989 she graduated in mathematics and physics. In 1993 Divjak graduated in mathematics. In 1998 Blaženka Divjak received her doctorate in mathematics from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics at the University of Zagreb . She speaks English and German .

She has written seven books.

criticism

In the run-up to her appointment as minister, the Croatian gay and lesbian association "Kontra" accused Divjak of sexual discrimination against a gay assistant at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin . Divjak was vice dean and member of the executive committee of the Faculty of Organization and Computer Science.
