BlackArch is a young Linux distribution that focuses on penetration . BlackArch is a specialized version of Arch Linux and its derivative. It is used to harden systems and reduce security vulnerabilities . BlackArch Linux can be built on top of an Arch Linux installation and expanded so that a completely new installation is not necessary.
installation
Similar to other Linux distributions , BlackArch Linux can be installed as a second or third operating system or inserted into a VM via an ISO file next to existing operating systems .
application
The operating system is designed to detect weak points and build secure systems. To keep the simplicity, the focus is on a text-based interface . Specified commands are issued via the command line or terminal emulation in order to navigate through the OS and operate processes. Therefore, the application is aimed at advanced users. The style is mostly limited to text windows.
Graphics are mostly realized with ASCII-Art and different colors. Every now and then the subject of hacking is humorously satirized with allusions and slangs, for example through the use of Leetspeak . Despite the focus on text characters, the installation of the OS is over 30 GiB .

For BlackArch Linux there are currently 2437 security-relevant tools that can be installed in groups or individually. However, the number of tools is increasing continuously.

BlackArch Linux provides tools for malware , Backdoor , Exploitation , DOS targeting system weaknesses, wireless communication technologies such as NFC , Bluetooth or Wireless , which focuses on wireless communication set, but also cryptography , or network-related tools such as networking , VoIP , or proxy .
