history
The Black Box Corporation was founded in 1976 initially under the name Expandor, Inc. established. In 1982 the company was renamed Black Box with reference to the company's own product catalog of the same name. The IPO took place in 1992 on the NASDAQ technology exchange . Today the Black Box Corporation is a company represented in over 100 countries with approx. 4000 employees and the focus on the development and marketing of communication and infrastructure solutions for the construction and operation of voice, video and data networks in companies and organizations. This company has been a member of the HDBaseT alliance since June 2014 .
Germany
In 1984 a subsidiary was founded in Germany. Black Box Deutschland GmbH delivers from its location in Hallbergmoos near Munich, in addition to KVM products ( KVM switches ), network solutions for the transmission of data and audio-visual signals.
